This is the start of a series of pictures we took at the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch a short drive north of San Antonio, Texas. We visited in April 2009. This was our first time going to a drive thru wildlife park. It was fun to see the animals without bars. They come right up to your car. But beware, some try to get too close! These animals seemed to be very indifferent about the humans gawking at them, except for the ones looking for a treat. They give you a small bag of food to hand out to the animals as you enter the park. Below is a link to the page I used to research this attraction before our trip.

You will see many types of bridges as you travel down the river. This one was for surface street traffic.

If you go to San Antonio, Texas you have to visit the Riverwalk. Be prepared with comfortable walking shoes though. They don’t call it the RiverWALK for nothing! There are lots of opportunities for shopping and restaurants. There are also several hotels. If you are on a budget though, you’ll find that hotels are much less expensive if you don’t stay on the river. You can spend hours here so don’t expect to just take a look & leave. The “walk” is quite long & there are lots of steps.
Following is a link to the official site of the Riverwalk: http://www.thesanantonioriverwalk.com/maps/index.asp. Here you can learn all about the history, boat tours, restaurants, handicap access, etc.
